Give the Gift of Joy in Sports - Become a Sports Guardian

In collaboration with the Norwegian Sports Federation, Supporter is developing the fundraising solution, "Sports Guardian." The Sports Guardian project seeks to break down financial barriers that hinder children from participating in sports and, at the same time, promote equal access to sporting activities for all children.

The term "Sports Guardian" refers to an individual or organization that provides financial support or sponsorship for a child's participation in sports activities. By supporting a local sports club, one enables children to participate without concerns about membership fees or equipment costs.

The aim of this project is to provide local sports clubs with a tool that simplifies the process of collecting financial contributions from individuals and businesses within their own communities.

All funds collected through Sports Guardian go directly to the local sports club, with every penny earmarked to eliminate financial barriers to children's participation in sports.

For sponsors and businesses, this presents a unique opportunity to fulfill their social responsibility and contribute to their local communities. Together, we can ensure that every child has the chance to experience the joy of sports, regardless of their financial background.

Costs Associated with Sports in Norway

The total cost of participating in sports, including membership fees, training expenses, equipment costs, and participation in sports events, can pose a significant barrier for Norwegian families.

On average, the expenses for sports participation are approximately 313 Euro  per season for 9-year-olds and a substantial 835 Euro for 15-year-olds. This represents a significant financial burden for many families.

By contributing just 26 Euro per month to your local sports club, you can personally and directly contribute to creating the joy of sports for a child in your community.

Minidrett.no

Through our partnership with the Norwegian Sports Federation (NIF), Sports Guardian and Supporter.no are offered to sports clubs of all kinds without any setup costs or monthly fees.

Our collaboration with NIF is a clear recognition that our service has received acknowledgment at the highest level of Norwegian sports! The Norwegian Sports Federation is deeply committed to ensuring that finances never become a barrier to children and young people's participation in sports, and Supporter has a unique opportunity to be an integral part of NIF's efforts in this regard!

With the support of the Norwegian Sports Federation, our fundraising solution will be made available to all sports clubs in Norway. NIF has decided that our service will be integrated into minidrett.no, where everyone with a role in a sports club is registered. This means that all leaders in Norway's 9,454 sports clubs, encompassing nearly 1.9 million memberships, will have the opportunity to create a Sports Guardian campaign directly on their own sports club's page within the Norwegian Sports Federation! This provides Supporter.no with visibility across the entire Norwegian market, and the sports community will have easy access to all the possibilities our service can offer.

Supporter is now taking a giant step forward and evolving to become the definitive income platform for sports. Our goal is to make Supporter the gold standard for income generation for anyone managing a sports club.

Our next step is to disseminate knowledge about Sports Guardian to sports clubs through strategic collaborations with NIF, ambassadors/sports heroes, and brands.

Our goal is to create the joy of sports for more than 15,000 children by 2026!

The Sports Guardian project aims to create 1000 campaigns, with an average of 15 sports guardians per campaign.

If we achieve this goal, it will provide a golden opportunity for more than 15,000 children to participate in sports. As an extraordinary bonus, sports clubs will receive over 50 million Norwegian kroner from Supporter.no, which they can reinvest to provide better training opportunities for children and youth in their communities.

Every single Euro is an investment in the future of our children, and the funds raised are earmarked to lower the financial barriers for those who need it most.

Let's work together to create a future filled with the joy of sports and opportunities for the children in our communities.

With a focus on the United Nations sustainable development goals

By promoting physical health, supporting quality education, advancing gender equality, reducing inequalities, and fostering partnerships, children's engagement in sports aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and paves the way for a healthier, more inclusive, and sustainable future.

Goal 3 - Good health and well-Being:

Sports involvement encourages physical activity, promotes healthy lifestyles and contributes to children's overall well-being. Regular exercise through sports helps prevent obesity, improves heart health and reduces the risk of chronic diseases.

Goal 4 - Quality education:

Sports programs in schools provide opportunities for holistic development and supplement the academic education. Physical education and participation in sports strengthen children's cognitive abilities, concentration and general learning results.

Goal 5 - Gender equality:

Sport can help break down gender stereotypes and promote equality. By encouraging both girls and boys to participate in sports on equal terms, inclusion, strengthening and development of leadership skills are promoted among children, regardless of gender.

Goal 10 - reduced inequalities:

Access to sports programs can reduce economic differences and inequalities. By offering equal opportunities for participation, regardless of background, sport helps to promote social inclusion and create a fairer society.

Goal 17 - cooperation for the goals:

Engaging children in sport requires collaboration between governments, educational institutions, sports organizations and communities. Partnerships and collaboration between these actors can create sustainable sports programs that have a positive impact on children's lives and contribute to achieving several sustainability goals.
